Subject:        FW: Early Cut-off for Thanksgiving Holiday TIME AND ATTENDANCE

Please note there will be an early cut off for time and attendance next week.

There will be no deviation from the usual time frames for submitting records to the appropriate time clerks and supervisors (9 am to time clerks/Wednesday, November 23, 2005). All records must be approved by supervisors and forwarded to the official time keeper no later than 10 am. This gives a 2-hour time frame for time keeper to work out any problems that may occur in records, and believe me problems do occur.

Managers should remind all employees who may be on leave all next week to submit their records this week to include the leave for next week. Employees must remember to submit the record to his/her time clerk before going on extended leave.

I will be out of the office on transmission day, and Margie Fields and Vickie Kindred will be processing time records so please help make things easy for them since this will be their first pay period to transmit in my absence. They have been trained, so don’t worry, and i’ll be available by phone to assist, as will be ASPO.

    See message below from payroll.

Since many people wil be on leave next week, all Timekeepers and Supervisors need to ensure that they have Proxies setup to approve time

records on their behalf.  Also, Time Clerks need to make sure that they have Alternates setup for preparing time records.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, time records will be due Wednesday November 23rd at noon.   DFAS is asking that they receive all transmissions by Wednesday COB in order for employees to get paid on-time.

      Thank You
